Sandy Jameson is a founder and host of #aplangchat. She teaches AP English Lang and English 11 Honors at Nazareth Area High School in Nazareth, PA. She has been an AP Lang Exam Reader for four years, where she has met her best teacher friends; together, they affectionately (nerdily?) refer to themselves as the AP Mafia.  She attended Lycoming College (B.A. Communications), Lock Haven University (B.S. Secondary Ed), and Cedar Crest College (M.Ed. Art of Teaching). Aside from geeking out over teaching Lang, she loves Broadway shows & cast albums, her cats, and her husband.

Crys Hodgens is in her seventeenth year in the high school classroom in North AL. She has taught everything English - from remedial English 9 to inclusion English 11 to Writer's Workshop to English 12. She currently teaches five classes of AP Lang and a class of Myths, Monsters, and Shakespeare. She has been an AP reader the last three summers, and there she has met some of her best friends and colleagues. Her goal as a teacher is a simple one: to have students leave her stronger readers, writers, and thinkers. She spends a lot of her time buried under piles of essays and books, and she would not have it any other way. She was a double-major in English and history secondary education at Athens State University, where she graduated in May 2000. She earned a Masters in Library and Informational Studies from the University of Alabama in May 2011 where she focused her studies on YA literature. She is a certified history and English teacher and media specialist. You can find her all over social media as @thehodgenator, where she shares her love of books, teaching, and being a mom to five fur babies. She has a middle schooler who can out-read her, and a husband who supports her addiction to all things print.

Andrew Giddings resides on the West coast and so is an infrequent participant in the #aplangchat as it is often while he's driving home. He teaches AP Lang, AP Lit, and regular English 11 at Fife High School in Fife, WA. He has been an AP Exam Reader for 4 years where he has met an amazing group of people (of which he is the token male) who strive to make each other better teachers almost every day (even during the summer!). He attended the University of Puget Sound (B.A. English: Creative Writing); Regent College Vancouver, BC (M.A. Church History); and Western Washington University (Post Baccalaureate Secondary ELA Education). Before becoming a teacher (between his B.A. and M.A.) he worked as a grant writer, a network specialist, and finally as a technical writer. Aside from obsessing over teaching reading and writing, he loves cycling, cooking, reading, going to the theater, messing around with technology, and playing with his 9-year-old son. His wonderful wife (a 4th grade teacher) helps keep him sane.
